Ahren has been recording himself since the age of 15 when he bought a cheap interface and installed recording software on his parents computer. Since that day he has been hooked.

He is comfortable on “both sides of the glass,” as a session musician, as a recording engineer, and often both!

Ahren has a modest yet highly effective home studio setup with which he has recorded many many many projects, many of which he plays with and some he just records. He occasionally packs up his gear to do onsite recordings – in Art Galleries, Book Stores, Concert Halls, Churches, Sheds, Garages, Basements.

He has many recording engineering credits, many of which can be found on the Discography Page

Ahren is available as a session musician on: Guitar (Acoustic, Electric, Classical), Pedal Steel, Dobro, Mandolin, Lap Steel, Bass (electric and sometimes Upright). This can either be done remotely via Dropbox or in your studio.

Ahren is also available as an engineer for in studio recording, location recording, mixing, video sessions, etc.

He is also an adept arranger, specializing in string arrangements. String Arrangement Demo Reel
